"America's Most Scenic Highway"

About The Book:
This book is about exploring the scenery, places and intimate destinations along Californias Pacific Coast Highway. From remote romantic and quaint little towns that we know by name from blockbuster movies and classic novels, to big city vacation destinations. From fun sunny beaches and boardwalks to wine and vineyard tours and tasting rooms, this book details it all, in a practical and useful mile-by-mile format. Beginning at the southern California, traveling through the majestic redwoods forests and central coastal botanical gardens, and ending along the beautiful and rugged Northern California coast, this book brings the reader on a journey through the most awesome expanse of scenic vistas and natural wonders imaginable, along our county's most heralded scenic highway, the "most scenic highway in America", The Pacific Coast Highway.
This guide provides a synopsis of over 750 attractions, cities and towns, lighthouses, harbors, beaches, boardwalks, piers and wharfs, surfing sites, and surf fishing locations. Through state and historic parks, nature preserves, National Wildlife Refuges, and Marine Sanctuaries. To hiking and biking trails, campgrounds, museums and aquariums. On winery tours and off-shore island excursions, and into the grand red wood forests. It is all here, along or near the Pacific Coast Highway. Indeed, this is the most comprehensive and complete guidebook to the Pacific Coast Highway, and the natural and scenic wonders that may be discovered and experienced here.

ECOTOURISM   This book serves to promote the global policies of ecotourism. Ecotourism may be defined as travel to natural or cultural sites which informs the visitor, conserves the site, and benefits the local economy.
